POLAR BEARS
Polar bear mamas gain a whopping 400 pounds while they’re pregnant to make sure their bodies don’t reabsorb their young (sounds crazy, but it’s true!). After that, they stop eating for a few months and go into a hibernation-like state before they give birth to ensure they have healthy babies.
