Get ready to have the best time with your family!

WHAT IS A YES DAY?

It’s typically a day when parents say “yes” to any plans their kids want to make. What could be more fun than that, right? But we know that your parents want to join in on the plans, too, so our version includes them a bit more.

HERE’S WHAT YOU DO:

1 First, you have to decide on a day. We recommend letting your parents choose a weekend day that works for their schedule.

2 Have every member of your family (the ones who want to!) pick an activity. You can brainstorm together during a family meeting.

Know that there have to be some ground rules. We have some suggestions on the next page! And in case you’re stumped coming up with fun ideas, we’ve also provided some activity suggestions!

3 Once you’ve picked all your activities, fill in our schedule of events and cut it out.

4 On the big day, grab your completed itinerary and have the best day ever!

RULES:

We can’t go anywhere that’s more than 15 minutes away from our house.

We can’t spend more than $5 on any activity. We can’t eat sugary snacks for every meal. No fighting on Yes Day!

ACTIVITIES:

Build a fort in your living room

Have a movie soundtrack dance party Go to the library and check out books Build an obstacle course in your backyard Bake cookies with all different fun toppings Have a board game marathon

Go on a hike

Have a pillow fight

“I can’t wait for you all to watch the film,” Jenna smiles. “Join the fun and have a Yes Day of your own,” she suggests. Start the day by doing your mom’s makeup, like they do in the movie. LOL!
