GET­TING into the hol­i­day spirit doesn’t have to mean pack­ing on the pounds! Stick to your weight loss plan by sip­ping on low-calo­rie al­co­holic op­tions.

A 1.5-ounce shot of vodka, gin, rum, whiskey or tequila con­tains about 97 calo­ries, mak­ing these the most waist­line-friendly types of booze.

But be care­ful about how you cre­ate cock­tails. Mix­ers such as juice, sug­ary soda, syrups, cream and co­conut add ex­tra calo­ries and fat. Use diet soda, seltzer or wa­ter in­stead.

“Mar­gar­i­tas and piña co­ladas can have close to 500 calo­ries per drink, and could be a real chal­lenge for any­one with a weight loss goal,” says Gin­ger Hultin, a reg­is­tered di­eti­tian and spokesper­son for the Academy of Nutri­tion and Di­etet­ics.

A bit of bub­bly is an­other way to toast your ef­forts — as cham­pagne clocks in at about 84 calo­ries per four ounces. Or choose a tra­di­tional mar­tini for an av­er­age 124 calo­ries per 2.5 ounce serv­ing.

When it comes to wine, watch out. A dry va­ri­ety can be about 106 calo­ries for five ounces, but the same amount of a sweet dessert wine will likely sur­pass 200 calo­ries.

And if you want six-pack abs, steer clear of beer. A half-dozen cans have more than 800 calo­ries!

Stay away from fruity and sug­ary adult bev­er­ages, and stick to low-calo­rie liquors mixed with seltzer
