CAGEY Angelina Jolie revamped her rep to go from heroin-addicted wild child to glamorous globe-trotting do-gooder. But GLOBE has learned fed-up Tinseltown insiders have turned on the two-faced Maleficent movie witch — and now she’s the most hated woman in Hollywood!
“Her image has taken a huge hit in the last couple years and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better,” spills a source close to the beauty, who’s been embroiled in a nasty divorce war with 55-year-old Brad Pitt over their $400 million fortune since 2016. “She’s virtually shunned at events by other A-listers. Many people in Hollywood, from top brass to lowly crew members, are calling her a liar, freak and a terrible phony.”
What’s more, the one-time Oscar winner’s lukewarm career hasn’t seen a hit in years — and the source says her checkered drug past is a stigma she can’t seem to shake, despite her gig as a United Nations goodwill ambassador!
Behind Angie’s back, the pal claims, “People say she’s creepy and into voodoo and spells. She doesn’t come off as warm and fuzzy.”
The 43-year-old actress has also been dogged by rumors she’s a shameless homewrecker after Billy Bob Thornton left fiancée Laura Dern for her in 1999 and Pitt dropped wife Jennifer Aniston following his co-starring turn with Angie in 2005’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith!
Her professional life took a hit in 2014 after Sony’s notorious email hack revealed producer Scott Rudin blasted “minimally talented spoiled brat” Angie for her “insanity and rampaging ego!”
But her ugly split with Pitt — father of their adopted kids, Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, and Zahara, 14, and biological children Shiloh, 12, and ten-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — put
“Angelina tried to smear Brad as an abusive dad, and it’s come back to haunt her. He was cleared of all those allegations,” says the source.
“No one likes the way she tried to keep the kids from Brad or called him a deadbeat dad when it was proven he’d loaned her $8 million” to buy a ritzy California residence and shelled out more than $1.3 million to benefit her and the children!
