JAN-MICHAEL VINCENT LOST LEG TO BOOZE!
ONCE a muscular TV heartthrob, Airwolf star Jan-Michael Vincent’s years of drugs and booze ravaged his bod, wrecked his career and left him broke.
As helicopter pilot Stringfellow Hawke on the TV series that ran from 1984 to 1986, Jan-Michael earned $40,000 an episode.
But his drug and booze demons sent him off the rails. He broke his neck in a drunken 1996 car wreck and feared he’d never walk again. A right leg infection in 2012 almost killed him. Doctors amputated the lower half of the limb, but had to remove even more weeks later to save his life. Now 74 and estranged from only daughter Amber, 46, he lives in Mississippi with third wife Anna and is plagued by financial woes. “He looks like he’s living on borrowed time,” says a source.
