BONEHEAD LEFT DOG TO DIE IN DUMPSTER
A JERK with a black heart tossed a starving Chihuahua into a dumpster — and left it there to die!
Cops say Derrick Peterson, 35, trapped the emaciated pooch in a kennel, then threw it into the trash in Des Moines, Iowa.
The dog apparently managed to climb out of the kennel and scramble to the top of the garbage, where is was rescued by a stranger.
The dog, which weighed just four pounds, had zero body fat, hair loss and intestinal parasites, according to Animal Rescue League of Iowa officials.
Since being saved, the pup, now named Oscar, regained 25 percent of his body weight.
Peterson pleaded guilty to animal
neglect and abandonment and was sentenced to 60 days in jail.
