WILLIAM & KATE DIVORCE CRISIS!

Couple hires lawyers as cheating scandal shatters marriage

-

PRINCE WILLIAM and his jealous wife, Kate, are consulting divorce lawyers after their marriage blew up over scandalous rumors he was having an affair with her married best friend, stunned palace insiders tell GLOBE in a world exclusive!

Kate, 37, has now broken off all contact with former bestie Rose Hanbury, 35, an aristocratic former model wed to moneybags moviemaker David Rocksavage, 58, and “has retained a solicitor used to handling high-profile divorces,” a courtier reveals. “She’s humiliated by rumors William was cheating right under her nose — and refuses to be played for a fool.

“Kate had a wild meltdown and confrontation with William. She made nasty accusations, which he denied. Instead, he tried to laugh off the rumors about Rose, saying there was ‘nothing to it’ and people always try to tie royal males to other women.”

But William’s past remarks about Rose’s “grace and beauty” are adding fuel to Kate’s fire, says another source.

“What’s more, Kate’s heard talk her hubby has carried a torch for Rose for years and told

friends she was ‘the one that got away,’” the source adds.

Now, the mom of his kids, George, 5, Charlotte, 3, and Louis, 1, hired lawyers to talk about custody and money — and a heartsick William has followed suit, insiders reveal.

Sources say the common-born duchess is feeling insecure. Blue blood Rose, who’s the Marchioness of Cholmondeley, has known William for years and is close with his family. Her grandma, Lady Rose Lambert, grew up with Queen Elizabeth.

“There have been whispers, with her pedigree, that she’d have been a perfect match for William,” says the insider.

Rose was dubbed the “bestdressed guest” when she attended William and Kate’s 2011 wedding, and all eyes were glued to her at Prince Harry’s first state banquet in 2017 when she sat next to him wearing a

dazzling tiara.

Rose — mom of twin boys and a girl — and her hubby, who inherited a $150 million fortune, live in Houghton Hall in Norfolk, less than four miles from William and Kate’s residence, Anmer Hall. The couples have been socializing for a decade.

“They were best friends,” notes the courtier. “They attended the same events, raised money for the same hospital, went on hunts together. And then came this bombshell! Kate and Rose had a terrible falling out.

“Kate sees the friendship in an entirely different light now.

“She thinks about William flirting with Rose, and she’s jealous and suspicious.”

Her green-eyed doubts are fired by the prince’s playboy past, when “reports of William’s brazen cheating broke them up in 2007 after four years together,” recalls the source.

The then wild royal was often seen boozing, dancing and flirting in clubs. In one incident, he was snapped fondling a blacktressed tootsie and later picking up a blonde and luring her back to his army barracks.

“William has changed his ways since then, but he has remained close with Rose, which has fueled Kate’s jealousy,” according to a royal insider.

“She feels she’s being taken for a fool and demanded her ‘rural rival’ be immediately ‘phased out’ of their lives!”

Even worse, she’s already weighing her options with lawyers, confides the royal insider. “William couldn’t lose custody, but he could be forced to pay through the nose. A $250 million settlement isn’t out of the question.

“This is a full-blown divorce crisis for William and Kate that could rock the monarchy even more than when William’s father, Charles, divorced Diana.”
