TIM CONWAY’S FAMILY WAR!

Widow & kids scrap as $50M is at stake

-

FUNNYMAN Tim Conway’s widow and kids are locked in a vicious feud over the $50 million fortune of The Carol Burnett Show star!

“Tim would be rolling over in his grave if he knew what was happening,” spills a pal. “He’d be very upset!”

Shockingly, after Tim passed away at age 85 on May 14, his oldest daughter wasn’t even notified!

“I learned about my father’s death from my best friend in New York who’d heard about it on the news!” Kelly, 57, tells GLOBE. “I was heartbroken!”

As GLOBE has reported, Tim suffered from hydrocephalus, commonly known as water on the brain, and had a valve surgically

implanted in his head to release fluid.

Back in 2013, he made the heartbreaking decision to stop doing live performances and he’d signed a will before his deteriorating condition left him unresponsive, according to a family insider.

But it’s unclear whether any changes were made before his death!

“Tim had been struggling,” adds the pal. “He has not been communicative for a while.”

An insider tells GLOBE that, even as Tim lay dying in a rehab facility in California’s San Fernando Valley, his second wife, Charlene, and six adult children from his first marriage waged a bitter battle over his care.

“In the days and weeks before his death, Tim’s daughter Kelly would visit him. She would hang pictures of her and her siblings on the wall next to her father’s bed,” reveals a source.

“Kelly would come back, and they’d be ripped off the wall and thrown in the garbage!”

Kelly says Charlene even interfered after she added “nice curtains and a comforter” to her father’s bare-bones room. “We had DVDs of The Carol Burnett Show there that we used to watch,” Kelly tells GLOBE.

“[Charlene] took all of those away! I came back, and everything was in trash bags!”

Sadly, Kelly said she’d been limited to an hour a day with her famous father, who starred as bumbling Ensign Charles Beaumont Parker on the ’60s sitcom McHale’s Navy.

“It was not the right place for him,” she says. “He should have been in a comfortable care facility.”

Last August, Kelly asked to be appointed as conservator to her father and take official charge of his medical treatments, as he was “almost entirely unresponsive.”

Kelly filed the documents in Los Angeles on Aug. 24, claiming Charlene was “planning to move him out of the excellent skilled nursing facility he is currently at” and place him in one that won’t give him access to “registered nurses at all times and his 24-hour caregiver and speech therapist (to help with swallowing).”

A court appointed Charlene as conservator in March and Kelly said in a statement that she was “pleased” with the outcome — but that quickly changed insiders say.

Now a source says: “The family feud over the conservatorship issue may have been settled, but the battle over Tim’s estate is just beginning!”
