BLAKE GETS LAST LAUGH ON LEVINE!

Lover Gwen taking Adam’s gig on Voice

-

COUNTRY king Blake Shelton secretly schemed to replace bitter rival Adam Levine on The Voice with his sweetie, Gwen Stefani, and got his wish — the Maroon 5 frontman has quit amid claims he was a total diva.

Adam dropped the bombshell on May 24, saying “it was time to move on” and he was leaving the hit talent show.

“Blake couldn’t be more pleased, and he’s very excited to be able to work alongside Gwen again,” spills an insider.

Blake, 42, and Gwen, 49, fell for each other during her previous gig as a coach in 2015.

Meanwhile, bad blood has flowed between the six-footfive country hunk and Adam, 40, who insiders say didn’t approve of Blake and Gwen’s romance playing out on set.

“Blake and Adam didn’t see eye to eye on a lot of things, particularly Gwen,” snitches the insider.

“Adam thinks it’s unprofessional to have one’s girlfriend on the judges’ panel, but Blake chalked it up to jealousy.”

Even without Gwen, the insider notes Blake and Adam “have enormous egos that need stroking” and didn’t “agree on anything. They bicker constantly over lighting, camera angles, who has the best album, you name it.”

Sources say Blake worked behind the scenes to boot his younger rival and get Gwen back.

Blake reportedly was thrilled when Adam quit.

Sources also say Adam was a grump this last season because he had no winning contestants and felt “pushed out” by newer coaches John Legend and Kelly Clarkson.

“He was a crybaby,” notes a source. “Adam was fed up and acting like a total diva.”

Meanwhile, Blake’s beaming, says the insider, adding: “He has been vocal about wanting Gwen back forever. It’s all he talks about.”
