Pioneer Woman Ree in jealous feud with Fixer Upper Joanna
REALITY TV’s Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond and Fixer Upper sensation Joanna Gaines are caught in a vicious catfight, say insiders who insist the feud was triggered by jealousy and blind ambition!
Oklahoma gal Ree, who has clung to her homespun roots, believes Texas Tornado Joanna’s become a “cocky” snob who’s forgotten regular folks, tattles an insider.
“She’s seeing Jo hobnobbing with celebrities,” says the insider. “Ree’s telling everybody Jo and her husband Chip sold out.” Mom-of-four Ree, 50, catapulted from a folksy cooking and homemaking blog to a successful show on the Food Network. She
now also writes books, runs a boutique out of her hometown in Oklahoma and has a home decor line available at a
national retailer.
But Joanna, 41, who has five kids, has leapt into the celebrity spotlight along with Chip. The two have gone from modest home improvements to a Discovery network deal and helm the shopping complex Magnolia Market. The couple also has a restaurant, magazine, blog, real estate business and upcoming coffeehouse.
What’s more, Discovery’s DYI channel will be rebranded and taken over by the Gaineses, who are projected to have 52 million viewers!
“Jo and Ree have a lot in common, but their friendship soured when Jo got to be more successful,” spills the insider.
Ree started the bad blood, the insider claims, by “telling their mutual friends Jo is spreading herself thin and should focus more on her family.
“She’s saying she was offered her own network too, but turned it down because she doesn’t have the time or energy.”
Ree’s also slamming Jo as a greedy fake, who is buying up property left and right in Waco, her Texas hometown, claims the insider. “She says they should save some for the little people.”
Meanwhile, Joanna is hitting back, spies say.
She’s blabbing to mutual friends that “Ree’s not even a good cook and wouldn’t be caught serving up her cowboy recipes,” the source says.
“Jo snips she’s got taste and her recipes are edible. Plus, everything she touches turns to gold.”
The feud is so hot, spills the source, “Jo doesn’t even want to be in the same room with Ree!”
