WHAT THE FLOCK?

Spoiled sheep with $40,000 artificial feet lives like king

-

ADISABLED sheep is walking tall — after his owners spent $40,000 on vet bills and custom prosthetic feet and legs!

Spoiled rotten Moko sleeps with Kristin Harkness and Jay Yonz, takes baths with them and gets cuddled like a baby!

“Moko is very much requiring 24/7 care,” says doting owner Kristin, 33. “His care has cost so much money in the past 12 months, that we haven’t had a chance to start planning our wedding.

“Moko has prosthetics, but he still struggles to walk on them, so we often carry him around.

“To us, he’s so beautiful and happy, that we don’t mind waking up to his gorgeous face each morning when he sleeps in our bed.”

Moko was born unable to

use his hooves, and with the little lamb facing certain death on a farm, Jay and Kristin decided to rescue him. Thanks to their generosity, Moko now has four custom prosthetics that enable him to walk.

And though the pair have spent a small fortune caring for the critter, they say they wouldn’t take ba-a-a-ack one cent of their investment.

“We’re always with him,” says Kristin. “I love waking up to Moko’s face every day.”

The North Carolina couple own an animal refuge where they work full-time caring for more than 62 disabled animals rescued from farms across the U.S.

“I feel blessed that we have so many amazing pets,” says Jay, 35.

“We’re currently caring for four sheep, seven goats, eight horses, one donkey, three cows, 33 pigs, two ducks, three chickens, one dog and two cats.”

Adds Kristin: “We’re providing these animals with permanent residences and constant companionship. We enjoy how busy our lives are with them.”
