LIZA MINNELLI TRAPPED IN LIVING HELL!
RAVAGED from years of substance abuse, Liza Minnelli is trapped in a living hell, too dazed and too weak to even walk, say sources close to the Cabaret star.
The 73-year-old daughter of The Wizard of Oz legend Judy Garland is in agony and so frail she “can’t go anywhere without assistance,” dishes an insider.
“She’s in a world of pain. Liza can barely stand and gets terrible dizzy spells when she tries to walk around instead of staying in her wheelchair.
“If she tries to stand by herself she just keels straight over!”
Liza boosted fears for her health during a rare public outing in Los Angeles, where she had to be propped up by Hollywood pal George Hamilton and a team of helpers.
“Liza was trying so hard to stay on her feet but you could tell it was a nightmare for her,” says a spy. “She could barely see, let alone walk.”
Sources blame years of alcohol and drug abuse for her frail condition. Like her famous mom, the Oscar-winning actress has spent much of her adult life desperately battling her demons.
She’s done multiple stints in rehab, had two hip replacements, a broken kneecap, double pneumonia and other ills.
Her private life has been a catastrophe with four marriages crashing in divorce.
Her last husband, producer David Gest, led a secret gay double life before being found dead in 2016 at 62.
Now friends fear Liza could be facing her final days in agony.
“She hasn’t lost her fighting spirit, but it’s horrible seeing her so miserable and suffering,” adds the insider.
