MEGHAN DEVASTATED BY BABY DEPRESSION!

A shrink is helping her fight for health

STRUGGLING to cope with motherhood and tormented by constant criticism from inlaws who despise her, Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan, has become a compulsive eating machine — gaining a staggering 37 pounds — and her fearful hubby has sent her to therapy!

The now chubby, five-footsix duchess, who’s normal weight of 124 pounds has ballooned to over 160, is so down in the dumps, she can barely force herself to waddle out of the house — more than eight weeks after her son Archie’s May 6 birth, sources reveal.

That’s the alarming truth behind the former Suits actress’ no-show when the other royals greeted President Donald Trump during his D-Day anniversary visit to England the first week of June.

“Meghan was simply ashamed to show her face,” a palace insider reveals.

“She’s been diagnosed with postpartum depression and has the baby blues so bad, she barely gets out of bed.”

Meghan virtually vanished from the public eye for more than a month following her son’s birth.

The new mom made her first public appearance on June 8 in London, riding in a carriage

Harry’s troubled wife turns recluse and gains 37 lbs.

with Harry, sister-in-law Kate and stepmother-inlaw Camilla for the Trooping the Colour celebration to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 93rd birthday.

But sources say Meghan had to be pushed to go — especially since she’s reviled by Kate, who thinks she’s a snooty, demanding brat, and Camilla, who’s called her a commonborn tramp.

She looked bloated and miserable during the event — and even was scolded for misbehaving on the palace balcony.

Sources say the only comfort she finds is in gobbling sugary baked goods, which have caused her weight to soar.

Worried Harry, 34, has begged the sobbing, tormented actress to get help. He finally had her seen by shrinks, who diagnosed her postpartum depression, a palace courtier says.

The 37-year-old beauty is not the first celeb clobbered by the baby blues.

Harry’s mom, Princess Diana, was plagued by the chilling depression.

Other celebs who’ve suffered from the condition include Chrissy Teigen, Brooke Shields, Hayden Panettiere, Cardi B, Adele, Drew Barrymore, Courteney Cox, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Marie Osmond and Gwyneth Paltrow.

Shields says antidepressants helped snap her out of the dark funk, which for some moms is marked by feelings of severe sadness, withdrawal from family and friends, a sense of failure and suicidal thoughts.

Shields notes she was so miserable: “I really didn’t want to live anymore.”

The depression can last up to a year and can be cured with medication and therapy. Five months after Marie Osmond gave birth to her son Matthew she was so miserable she “gave my nanny credit cards and blank checks and the baby” and split — holing up in a motel on California’s Pacific Coast Highway.

Marie tried antidepressants and later switched to hormone and vitamin supplements, massage and a special diet to beat the baby blues.

Now, frantic Harry is desperate for Meghan to take treatments, say insiders.

“Harry’s worried to death she’ll do something drastic,” says the insider. “He’s pleading with Meghan to see specialists, but all she wants to do is sit in her room, sob and wolf down sweets.

“It was all he could do to get her dressed and out for the celebration of his grandmother’s birthday, where her smiles were forced and she felt surrounded by enemies.”
