LUSCIOUS Latina Salma Hayek has packed on nearly 40 pounds with her nonstop gobbling — leaving pals fearing the actress may destroy her career and health!
Once considered one of Hollywood’s sexiest stars, the 52-year-old shocked onlookers on the set of her new Amazon flick, Bliss, sporting thunder thighs and a jiggly belly that a
baggy outfit couldn’t hide.
Medical experts estimate Salma’s gained between 35 and 40 pounds, and sources tattle that the wife of French moneybags François-Henri Pinault, 57, and mom of his daughter, Valentina, 11, has turned into an eating machine.
“She doesn’t diet and eats what she wants when she wants,” dishes an insider. “She loves bread and cheese and gourmet French cuisine — and butter.
“She hates exercising, and now that she’s middle-aged … the rich food and lack of physical activity have caused her to pack on the pounds.”
Life span expert Dr. Gabe Mirkin was “shocked” by recent photos of the beauty, figuring she “has gained at least 40 pounds!”
He warns that the extra flab — a massive gain for the petite five-foot-two Desperado doll — has rocketed her risk for deadly health issues.
“She has gained at least four inches of … belly fat that markedly increases her chances of suffering diabetes, heart attacks, strokes and eventually heart, liver and kidney damage,” notes Mirkin.
New York internist Dr. Stuart Fischer says she’s gained at least 38 pounds and needs to get slimmer or suffer from a possible early death.
“By the time she would be diagnosed, most of the damage can already be done,” Fischer says.
“The outcome would be heart disease, early stroke, severe kidney disease — or all three.”
The Mexican hottie admits she lacks the “discipline” needed for regular diet and exercise, with her fitness routine pretty much limited to walking her dogs. “These are my trainers!” she says of her canine companions.
Some link her extra eating to stress from the Harvey Weinstein sex scandal. Salma has accused the pervy producer of threatening to shut down the filming of her 2002 flick Frida unless she shot a sex scene with Ashley Judd. Ashley has also accused the mogul of making disgusting advances.
Friends worry that Salma is “eating herself to death,” says a source. “She just grabs the first thing she sees, whether it’s chips or a pint of ice cream.
“She’s consoling herself with food, and that’s a dangerous combo.” The doctors quoted in this article have not treated Salma Hayek.
