MICHELLE a n d Barack Obama are ferociously feuding while living separate lives, and pals fear the bubbling bad blood will boil over into an ugly, scandalscarred divorce!
At the core of the clashes is the former president’s workaholic ways — and avoidance of family issues — that have plagued their relationship for
years and have finally shredded their marriage, sources say.
Currently, Barack jets around the globe on big-money speaking gigs from a base in Washington, D.C., while Michelle, 55, rented a sprawling home in the Hollywood Hills, where she’s expanding her blooming showbiz career and schmoozing with big A-listers Beyoncé, Jay-Z and the Clooneys.
Their separate careers and problems with wild daughters Malia, 21, and Sasha, 18, have torn apart their family life, insiders dish.
“It’s an open secret Michelle wants more of Barack from a family point of view and she’s incredibly disappointed he chooses to spend so much time apart,” an insider blabs.
“For years they did everything together and Michelle paid her dues ten times over while they were in the White House. She supported him at every turn, based on the promise he’d let her run the show and decide where they’d live after they left office.
“But he hasn’t kept his word at all, so it’s no wonder Michelle’s raging! They’ve had terrible screaming matches.”
As GLOBE previously reported, Malia has been running wild at Harvard University.
In 2016 she was busted at a Chicago rock festival, smoking what appeared to be pot. A few months later, she was spotted “dancing scandalously
and twerking” at a raunchy adult club in D.C.
Recently, Malia has been dragged into the college admissions bribery scandal that also snared actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman. Her former tennis coach, Gordon Ernst, is charged with helping wealthy parents buy their kids’ entry into prestigious schools.
Ernst has pleaded not guilty and there’s no suggestion anyone helped Malia get into Harvard, but sources say the scandal’s rocked the former first couple.
Meanwhile, younger sister Sasha has struck up a close friendship with rappers Cardi B and her bad boy husband Offset, who’s been busted for a catalogue of alleged crimes — including gun charges!
“It’s no secret Barack and Michelle have had some major bust-ups over the kids,” notes an insider. “Their different parenting styles have been a growing issue.
“He tends to turn a blind eye and play the role of Disneyland Dad, while Michelle likes to enforce discipline. The elephant in the room is that he seems to run away from these conflicts, and Michelle’s fed up with parenting the two kids on her own, especially when she has to play bad cop.”
The Obamas recently announced a TV project, focusing on healthy eating for kids, that’s being funded by their joint production company.
Sources say Michelle also has her heart set on much larger things — with or without her absent spouse.
“She’s been exploring all kinds of ventures that are Hollywood-based, including the possibility of her own talk show,” tattles the source.
“Being based in California has opened the door to all kinds of amazing new opportunities, and Michelle loves the lifestyle on the West Coast. Everyone figured Barack would be happy to relocate there, but he seems way more content doing his own thing away from Michelle in another city.”
And he’s slapped her with the parenting of their girls.
“While he’s off seeing the world and making a fortune doing his solo thing, she gets the short straw of laying the law down and parenting the girls,” says the source, who notes marriage counseling kept the couple together decades ago.
“If Barack doesn’t get with the program and move to Los Angeles with her, there’s serious buzz she’ll walk!”
