HEAT HER LOCKLEAR REHAB LOCKDOWN!
Melrose vixen sent to treatment instead of jail after plea over attacks on lawmen
HOTHEAD Heather Locklear is cooling her heels in a mental health facility for 30 days to avoid prison time for assaulting cops and a paramedic during her multiple meltdowns last year!
“She really had no other choice. The judge told her that it was either a treatment facility or jail!” spills an insider.
“She chose the psych ward, as opposed to the cold hard cell of prison. The thought of prison gives her anxiety.”
The former Dynasty diva pleaded no contest on Aug. 16 to eight misdemeanor charges of battery and resisting arrest related to her unhinged
outbursts at her Thousand Oaks, Calif., home in February and June 2018.
During both explosive incidents, officers arrived in response to rowdy disputes with her now ex-beau Chris Heisser.
But the boozy hellcat couldn’t be contained and lashed out at the first responders, including a paramedic who claimed Heather “struck, kicked and battered” her! The EMT even sued the Melrose Place mess, who later settled the case out of court.
Though Heather potentially faced up to 120 days behind bars for the assault charges, the troubled 57-year-old actress was instead ordered to complete a stint in a residential treatment program. She’ll also be placed on informal probation for three years, which means she won’t even have to check in with a probation officer!
Despite the sweetheart deal, the insider says, “Heather has never been this low in her life. She’ll have to stay in rehab for 30 days, and it’s going to be no picnic.
“It won’t get any better after she’s out either. She is forbidden to drink alcohol and she can’t take any nonprescription meds.”
Though the Spin City star is no stranger to rehab, the source says Heather knows “this is her last chance to straighten up and she’s feeling the pressure.”
And the insider adds the belligerent blonde is also running out of allies!
“Heather’s miserable and alone. A lot of friends have turned on her in the last year or two because of her out-of-control behavior.
“She doesn’t even realize how awful she’s been to people. She’s begging them to give her a second chance, but no one is stepping forward just yet.
“They’re just going to wait and see if she’s serious about sobriety. It’s really sad that it’s come to this but she’s running out of options — as well as friends.”
