The single Dawson’s Creek cutie was recently caught displaying a lot of skin — and a brand-new attitude — while out in New York City with 13-year-old daughter Suri.
“She’s showing everybody she is an independent and VERY sexy woman,” says a source close to the 40-yearold Batman babe, who split with Jamie after a hushhush, six-year romance.
The former Mrs. Tom Cruise was left feeling betrayed after learning the love rat Ray star, 51, had been chasing other women throughout their relationship, according to sources.
But since their breakup, the insider spills, “she’s putting herself out there like she never has before!”
However, one relationship expert consulted by GLOBE thinks Katie’s trying too hard!
“Sexing herself up like that is
a very clear cry for independence,” says Dr. Gilda Carle, author of I’m Worth Loving! Here’s Why.
“It’s understandable because she has allowed herself to be hidden by the guy who she was with for so many years. And it came on the heels of years of having her whole life dictated by Tom Cruise.”
But Dr. Carle believes Katie’s behavior isn’t a healthy way for a 40-year-old mom to act in front of her young daughter!
“Simply showing off her bra isn’t the answer,” says Dr. Carle, who hasn’t treated Katie. “She needs to do some serious work on her self-esteem.”
