CRUEL BINDI BANS GRANDPA BOB FROM WEDDING!
Croc Hunter Steve’s family ripped apart by vicious feud
BRIDEZILLA Bindi Irwin has banned her once-beloved granddad from her upcoming wedding to Chandler Powell, insiders say!
The pro wakeboarder, 22, proposed to the daughter of late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin on July 24 — her 21st birthday — and lovestruck Bindi has already crowed about her 15-year-old brother, Robert, and mother Terri, 55, playing a part in the couple’s big day.
But grandpa Bob and wife Judy won’t be on the invite list, say spies.
The snub is particularly painful because, after Steve was fatally stung by a stingray in 2006, Bob helped the grieving widow and his two young grandchildren.
But before long, sources say, he began to clash with his daughter-in-law, who now runs Australia Zoo, the wildlife refuge founded in 1970 by Bob and his first wife, Lyn, before Steve and Terri took control in 1998.
“Steve was all about conservation first and tourism second,” says
Terri wanted to make the zoo more of an American-style theme park. Bob made no secret of the fact he thought that was the wrong decision and Terri was losing sight of what the family has been about ever since they began the zoo. She basically booted him out — and made sure Bindi and Robert were with her on that!”
A retired recluse, 80-year-old Bob refuses to talk about his grandkids, who sources say heartlessly returned his Christmas gifts in 2015!
“Terri drove this wedge between the family long ago,” says an insider. “Bindi worships the ground her mom walks on, so whatever Terri says goes.
“If Steve knew what was going on, he’d be rolling in his grave!”
