INSIDE THE CONJURING HOUSE OF HORRORS!

Brave couple buys haunted farmhouse behind hit movie

-

APAIR of paranormal investigators REALLY got their money’s worth when they bought the Rhode Island home that inspired the hit horror series The Conjuring — they say it’s still haunted!

“Footsteps, knocks, we’ve had lights flashing in rooms,” says Cory Heinzen, who purchased the notorious farmhouse along with his wife, Jennifer.

“And when I say lights flashing in rooms, it’s rooms that don’t have lights in there to begin with!”

Among other haunting habits, the dwelling features doors that open by themselves, according to Cory.

“It’s magical!” insists Andrea Perron, one of five daughters who lived there with her parents when things mysteriously started going haywire with the picturesque property in the 1970s.

“It’s a portal cleverly disguised as a farmhouse!”

The Heinzens, originally

from Maine, bought the dwelling, which dates back to the 1700s, in the summer so they could fix it up and share it with the curious public — and also create a documentary about the famous digs.

As self-described paranormal investigators, they’ve devoted their life’s work to cataloguing spooky stuff, and have set up a dozen cameras to record inside and outside the house, just in case the poltergeists get playful!

“I don’t have the feeling of anything evil, [but] it’s very busy!” adds Cory.

Despite the seemingly happy vibes, he says he’s reluctant to stay there alone because the Perrons, whose experiences formed the basis of the original Conjuring movie in 2013, said that the ghosts eventually stepped up their game and began making them sick — and killed their dog!

That’s when they called in occult experts Ed and Lorraine Warren, who confirmed there were sinister forces at work, such as birds flying into windows and clocks stopping at exactly 3:07 a.m.! The couple became consultants for The Conjuring and Lorraine even had a cameo role in the series.

When the Perrons moved out in 1980, the house’s next owner experienced a different kind of headache — fans of The Conjuring kept hounding her for a tour of the haunted premises — so much so that she sued Warner Bros. to put a stop to the nuisance!
