MAGGIE PREFERS MATCHSTICK SEX!

MAGGIE GYLLENHAAL, who first dropped jaws by dropping her drawers for kinky spanking scenes in her breakout 2002 film, Secretary, says she’s been doing crazy sex scenes for half her life — and loves it! In fact, the actress, mother of two young daughters — Ramona, 12, and Gloria, 7, with her husband, actor PETER SARSGAARD, 48 — is darn satisfied with her raunchy endeavors: “I am 41, and I’ve spent nearly 20 years doing sex scenes, intimate ones and unusual ones,” she boasts. “I’ve always been really proud of that work.”

And as if to prove that the Oscar-nominated star is up for almost anything, she’s turned to porn in her HBO series,

The Deuce, which is now in its third season and focuses on the New York sex industry in the 1970s.

However, even Maggie, who plays a streetwalker turned porn director named Candy, found that things got, um, too close for comfort — and she took action! When bits below the belt became overly intimate, she had the wardrobe department create a barrier out of a yoga mat “cut into a shape like a giant matchstick,” and used a pillowcase she and the other actors could position between their legs.

“It’s not so much the nudity that bothers me. It’s actually creating a real boundary between me and the actor,” she reveals. “They give you stuff to wear, but they weren’t enough, so we created this thing!”
