SHAKY SUTHERLAND AT DEATH’S DOOR!

Pals fear for star after multiple health woes

-

SCREEN legend Donald Sutherland is on his last legs, friends fear, after the 84-year-old actor was spotted looking shaky and exhausted at the prestigious Venice Film Festival.

The M*A*S*H movie star needed assistance to get up from his seat and had to be aided when he exited one of the city’s famed canal boats!

“Donald has been looking very frail and very tired,” says a pal.

“He gets worn out easily and has to sit down a lot. I’m afraid he may not have much longer!”

As GLOBE reported in 2017, the Dirty Dozen icon frequently carries an oxygen tank — and a medical expert says the former four-pack-a-day cigarette addict may be suffering from a deadly lung condition!

After seeing recent photos of the Hunger Games villain, New York-based internist Dr. Stuart Fischer says, “He was a longtime heavy smoker, and he could have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or severe emphysema. COPD can be fatal!”

Longevity expert Dr. Gabe Mirkin adds, “The vast majority of heavy smokers develop chronic lung disease and are at very high risk for heart disease and many different cancers.”

The sickly senior admits he’s already endured numerous illnesses, including polio, rheumatic fever, hepatitis and spinal meningitis, which he says left him dead “for four or five seconds.”

Though Donald ditched cigarettes decades ago — and sources say he keeps smokers at a distance on the set — the damage to his lungs has already been done! * The doctors quoted in this article have not treated Donald Sutherland.
