Eatery erupts as critter leaps into deep fryer!

WELL at least we know it was cooked fresh … Yes, customers and staff at a Texas burger joint filled the place with screams and shouts — when a mouse jumped into the deep fryer! A video of the stomachchurning incident has gone viral, showing the rogue rodent scampering on a counter between containers of food — and then falling into the boiling fat. “This s**t is crazy!” Brushawn Lewis captioned the video, which he filmed at a Whataburger in Bastrop and posted on Facebook. The footage shows a woman moving containers of food to grab the varmint — and then the doomed animal diving into the french fry maker! Screams can be heard as someone jokes: “You’re charging us for fried rat?” A man tries in vain to scoop up the crispy critter with a frying tool as other customers discuss how to get the animal out of the burning oil. “I don’t know — I work at Domino’s,” someone quips. Whataburger issued a statement saying it closed the restaurant and notified pest control, adding: “The entire restaurant has since been cleaned and sanitized.”
