EVIL GREMLINS ARE A FAN FAVORITE!

-

IT WASN’T just a huge hit — after its more violent sequences were criticized, Gremlins became, along with Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, one of the films that led to the addition of PG-13 to the movie ratings system! The 1984 comedy-horror, which was executive-produced by STEVEN SPIELBERG and written by Harry Potter director CHRIS COLUMBUS, centered on bands of evil creatures led by Stripe, seen here swinging from a ceiling fan. The rampaging monsters kill many residents in an Upstate New York town before they are eliminated. They returned, however, in the 1990 sequel, Gremlins 2.
