Brawl for $150M fortune turns ugly as she threatens to expose his famous lovers
BARACK OBAMA has secretly slapped wife Michelle with divorce papers — after sources say he finally got fed up with their toxic marriage of convenience amid a series of nasty fights!
The former first couple have both been snapped without their wedding rings in recent weeks — and pals tell GLOBE each one is gearing up for a noholds-barred battle over their shared $150 million fortune!
“Michelle had divorce papers drawn up by her lawyers, and the word is Barack has taken things a step further by serving Michelle with papers of his own,” tattles an insider.
“She was shocked, as you can imagine. But now she’s conspiring with her lawyers to squeeze Barack for as much money as she can.
“But he’s refused Michelle’s demands for alimony. Word is, Barack thinks it’s ludicrous because she can clearly support herself. Michelle’s not only written a best-selling book, she has a law degree. She can go back to work anytime!
“Besides that, Barack’s not going to part with a cent to pay for her fancy lifestyle and designer clothes. She wants the waterfront mansion they recently bought on Martha’s Vineyard, but Barack intends to fight her on that too!”
As GLOBE reported, the 58-year-old former president ripped off his wedding band and hurled it in his wife’s face during a recent dustup over her luxury-loving ways.
Then Barack hightailed it off to Germany, where he was photographed at a speaking gig without his bling. The ringfree former politico was also spotted in New York City on Oct. 21.
A boiling-mad Michelle fired her own shot by posting an Instagram photo on Oct. 20 showing off her hot body during a workout — without HER ring!
Body language expert Susan Constantine tells GLOBE the missing wedding bands are a clear sign the high-profile couple have given up on their 27year marriage.
“When you take off your wedding ring, it’s a symbol you’re single,” notes Susan. “They both want to let everyone know, ‘Hey, I’m available!’ ”
A close friend of Barack’s, who was a frequent guest at the White House and bunked in the famed Lincoln Bedroom, adds: “Barack’s marriage to Michelle has been one of convenience for years now.
“Obviously, they weren’t going to divorce while he was running for president and in the White House.
“But politics is behind him now, and the optics don’t matter anymore.
“Also, they stayed together for their daughters. But now Malia is 21, Sasha is 18, and they’re both away at college.”
If Barack plays hardball, Michelle plans to dish the dirt on his cheating, sources say.
“She has a network of spies keeping their eyes on Barack, and she’s kept notes about his infidelity,” spills the friend.
“If Barack and his lawyers try to hold back his millions, Michelle will reveal his affairs with a string of famous women — and she’s been calling them to say she intends to name names! You can imagine the problems that could cause.
“Barack may have been the most powerful man in the world for eight years, but Michelle is in the driver’s seat now!”
