AILING ALEX & SUFFERING SAJAK DITCH THEIR DAGGERS!

Dire diagnoses lead stars to kiss and make up

-

GRAVE health issues have driven feuding game show hosts Alex Trebek and Pat Sajak to end their decades-long sniping and backstabbing — because they realize life is literally too short to continue such pettiness!

“They’ve become exceedingly nice and friendly toward each other and they’ve exchanged messages of peace and wellness,” snitches an insider.

“Any hostility between them is long gone — and there was plenty of that, a lot of petty bickering and backstabbing babble about whose show was better, who had the better ratings, who had more TV presence, whose hairline was receding, and so on.”

The first jolt to ending the clashes came as Jeopardy! host Alex, 79, took a turn for the worse in September and doctors ordered more chemotherapy treatments for his deadly pancreatic cancer.

Then on Nov. 7, Wheel of Fortune star Pat, 73, missed a taping after undergoing emergency surgery to fix a blocked intestine.

Says the insider: “Pat reached out to Alex when he heard how sick he was and Alex, needless to say, was genuinely touched. Then Alex did the same when Pat was recovering in the hospital.”

Ever since, the hosts of rival game shows have been in constant contact.

“They both feel they’re staring death in the face and they are helping each other to stay positive no matter what happens,” the source reveals.

“They were never close before and there was rivalry between their shows but you would never know that now.

“Sometimes good things can evolve from the most dire situations.”
