Mad Men alcoholic caught belting beer after stint in rehab
HOOCH hound Jon Hamm has toppled off the wagon, leaving friends to fear he’s headed for a disastrous crash as he guzzles like a mad man!
The 48-year-old star, who battled booze demons back in 2015, was spotted chain-smoking and looking bleary-eyed as he knocked back beers with pals at hip L.A. bistro La Poubelle on Nov. 20.
“It’s a huge shock to see Jon behaving like this because he was supposed to rein that in years ago, and that could spell huge trouble,” dishes an insider.
“Jon’s not big on moderation,” the source adds, “so there’s a real worry he could go off the deep end unless someone can talk sense into him!”
Hamm, who also looked unsteady on his feet at La Poubelle, praised his previous rehab visit as “great,” saying: “There’s something to be said for pulling yourself out of the grind for a period of time and concentrating on recalibrating the system.”
But the hunk, who played hard-partying, skirt-chasing ad exec Don Draper on Mad Men, didn’t stay sober for long.
In 2017 he was again spotted guzzling beers with pals on another booze-soaked night out.
And in October 2018, Jon reportedly went on a raucous bender at a black-tie event in London, where he was so blitzed he later vomited outside.
“He didn’t care who saw him, and he was completely wasted, falling-down drunk. It wasn’t a good look,” says a source. As GLOBE reported, Hamm has recently started dating SNL producer Lindsay Shookus, 39, whose most recent boyfriend was another booze-troubled star, Ben Affleck, 47.
“Hopefully Lindsay can persuade Jon to turn his lifestyle around,” says the insider. “But she wasn’t too successful with Ben, so the omens aren’t good!”
