ANGELINA & JEN SHARPEN CLAWS IN SPAT OVER BRAD
MORTAL enemies Jennifer Aniston and Maleficent movie witch Angelina Jolie are set for a poisonous showdown this coming awards season, Hollywood insiders say.
The jealous rivals will come face-to-face as they mingle with movie bigwigs at the Golden Globe Awards next month, say sources, who predict it’ll be ugly.
Vamp Angie notoriously stole Brad Pitt away from his wife Jennifer some 15 years ago. The Picture Perfect beauty evened the score by hanging out with Pitt while he was in the middle of his nasty divorce from Angie. Now Brad and Jen will be a redhot couple again at the Jan. 5 Globes ceremony. She’s nominated for Best Actress for her work in The Morning Show, and Brad’s up for Best Supporting Actor for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Meanwhile, Angie’s been shut out — but will use the event to schmooze all her movie contacts, insiders say.
“It won’t be pretty if she runs into them, which is highly likely — and if they’re together, it’ll be even more explosive!” says the insider.
The former love rivals endured an awkward moment at the same event last year as Angelina, 44, was caught on camera seemingly trying to
50, as she presented an award.
But Brad, 55, has stayed on good terms with Aniston after brutally breaking her heart and dumping and divorcing her in 2005 when he fell under the sexual spell spun by temptress Angie.
He and the Tomb Raider beauty — mom to his adopted kids Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, and Zahara, 14, and biological children Shiloh, 13, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12 — have been locked in a bitter war over money and custody since September 2016.
While Aniston’s rep insists talk of the sitcom legend holding a grudge are false, sources say the dirty divorce has only fueled Jennifer’s hatred of her longtime nemesis, who’s equally dismissive of the former Friends star.
“Their dislike toward each other seems to be getting worse,” notes the insider.
“Jen hates how Angelina has treated Brad, while Angie thinks Jen is pathetic because she won’t move on and feels the need to interfere and gossip about her.”
