AMBITIOUS VANNA’S THE BIG WHEEL NOW!
VANNA WHITE has been filling in for ailing Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak — and insiders say the bodacious second banana likes it so much she’s now working behind the scenes to grab the wheel full-time!
“Vanna doesn’t want to steal Pat’s job — but she knows he’s in poor health and she thinks her playing a bigger role will help the show!” snitches an insider.
The foxy letter-flipper, 62, has been turning the game’s signature disk since Pat underwent emergency surgery on Nov. 7 to repair a blocked intestine.
Adds the source: “She’s tired of being a glorified mannequin, turning cards and looking spectacular in sensational gowns. She’s found that she has a talent for being a host and wants to exploit it!”
One spywitness says Vanna has proposed taking turns as host with Pat, 73, to give him a break and her an opportunity to contribute more to the show!
“She’s even suggested Pat turn some letters too, just to give the audience a change!” the insider tattles.
Vanna, who’s been bored with pivoting and smiling for years, thinks her proposal will bring “new life” to WOF, which she previously hosted only ONCE — back in 1996 when Pat suffered from a bout of laryngitis.

ambitions. Since joining Wheel in 1981, he’s only taken brief vacations and insiders say word of Vanna’s success in his absence and her intention to take a bigger role have him tied up in knots while he recuperates at his Maryland mansion.
“It’s not that Pat doesn’t trust Vanna,” the insider adds. “It’s more that he knows how much audiences LOVE her!
“He’s terrified viewers will want him to take a back seat!”
According to sources, Vanna has told producers she’d like to set up a meeting ASAP!
“The viewers do adore her — so they’re definitely going to listen!” the insider spills.
