Wacky JIM CARREY’s in high-level talks to reprise his original 1994 hit flick’s leading weirdo, which led to a 1995 sequel and launched him into A-list movie star status. According to reports, the 57-year-old actor had previously been wishy-washy about taking part in an updated reboot, but suddenly he seems more interested now that fast-rising hotshots — such as SNL’s loony PETE DAVIDSON, who at 26 is just about the same age Jim was in the original films — could easily step into his shoes. Hey, here’s a crazy idea: Cast both knuckleheads — with Pete playing Jim’s nutty kid!
