Humiliates hubby on TV after fight over other woman
PRINCE WILLIAM’S marriage is hanging by a thread after a furious fight with wife Kate over his “other woman” — their beautiful neighbor Rose Hanbury, who’s Kate’s former BFF!
In a shocking show of pique, a furious Kate publicly humiliated William — deliberately shrugging off his hand during a TV interview.
Now sources tell GLOBE a wildly jealous Kate discovered William was still in contact with Rose after she demanded he cut her off!
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have presented a ‘perfect’ front as the monarchy faces unprecedented scandal,” a high-level palace insider tells GLOBE.
“But behind closed doors, they’re being ripped apart by a new cheating crisis!”
Their problems were exposed during an appearance on the BBC show A Berry Royal Christmas.
“After cooking festive dishes with British Bake Off star Mary Berry, they hosted an on-camera party and chatted with staffers and volunteers from their charities,” adds the source.
“William reached out to rest his hand on Kate’s shoulder, but she coldly, and quickly, shrugged him off! Viewers were shocked!”
One stunned fan tweeted: “What just happened here??? Ouch!”
Asked another, “Kate’s allowed PDA with William while working in the past … what’s changed?”
“What changed is a new marriage crisis,” dishes the royal source.
“Earlier this year, Kate is said to have consulted divorce lawyers amid rumors William was having an affair with Rose, her married best friend!
“He laughed off the claims and denied any wrongdoing and the marriage survived.
“But a few weeks ago, Kate learned William was back in touch with Rose!
“She was furious! I’m told she exploded at William, demanding to know how he could humiliate her like this!
“Kate reminded him she’d
cut off all contact with Rose after the scandal — and thought he had, too.
“Now she’s tortured by fears William’s been cheating right under her nose!”
Royal infidelities
The palace was rocked by rumors William, 37, was having an affair with longtime friend Rose, 35, an aristocratic ex-model wed to moneybags moviemaker David Rocksavage, 59, the Marquess of Cholmondeley.
Rose and David live in Houghton Hall in Norfolk, less than four miles from the Cambridges’ country home, Anmer Hall, and the two couples were best friends.
“They attended the same events, went on hunts together. And then came the affair bombshell,” spills the source.
“Kate heard talk William’s carried a torch for Rose for years, even telling friends she was ‘the one that got away.’
“Rose is a blue blood and there were whispers she’d have been the perfect match for William!
“The two women had a terrible falling-out, and Kate demanded her ‘rural rival’ be immediately ‘phased out of our lives.’
“So Kate was devastated to learn William put Rose on his Christmas card list!
“He insisted there was nothing to it — he only wanted to send festive wishes — and vehemently denied an affair.
“He begged Kate to forgive him. But I’m told she’s thinking long and hard about their future.”
Kate, 38, worries about the royals’ history of extramarital affairs, adds the source.
William’s dad, Prince Charles, cheated on his mom,
Princess Diana — and later married his mistress, Camilla Parker Bowles.
As GLOBE readers know, conniving Camilla warned new bride Kate “all royal men cheat — yours will, too.”
Now Kate’s public smiles are hiding personal heartbreak, says the source.
“I’m sure she doesn’t want to add to the royal family’s woes — with the monarchy already reeling from Prince Andrew’s sex trafficking scandal and Prince Harry and Meghan wanting to quit the family,” tattles the source.
“Everyone’s praying William and Kate stay together. They have three kids they adore, but a $250 million divorce isn’t out of the question.”
