JOAN VAN ARK’S FACE IS MELTING!

Knots star’s nip/tucks have gone TOO FAR

-

JOAN Van Ark’s plastic surgery fixation has backfired — and now the once-gorgeous Knots Landing siren’s face is a tragic disaster, insiders tell GLOBE.

Jaws dropped when the 76-year-old actress, who played sweet Val Ewing on the hit CBS primetime soap from 1979 to 1993, showed up at the drama’s 40th anniversary bash on Jan. 18.

Compared to her still-stunning co-stars Donna Mills, 79, and Michele Lee, 77, Joan’s face looked like it had “melted,” a witness tells GLOBE.

“It’s just sad to see Joan now,” blurts another insider. “She should have left well enough alone 20 surgeries ago.”

Instead of aging gracefully and doing minimal cosmetic enhancements, like her Knots co-stars, “Joan has gone and wrecked her face … The Botox, the endless rounds of fillers and face-lifts and peels have left a frightening impression,” the insider notes.

“Her lips don’t even look like lips and her skin is a mess.”

Boston-based cosmetic surgeon Dr. Dave E. David, who hasn’t treated Joan, believes the actress has subjected herself, among other procedures, to Botox and mouth fillers that have “squared off her jaw” and left “her upper lip uneven.” Meanwhile, the source adds the actress “has always had problem with her selfimage and self-esteem and it’s gotten worse with age.

“She never truly liked the way she looked, even in her youth in the ’80s, and once she had money to burn she tried to make herself pretty with plastic surgery.

“She practically had to have a new procedure done before she’d go on camera!”

Adds the snitch: “It’s just a shame, and no amount of bolstering seems to make her want to stop now.”
