SAD-SACK spinster Courteney Cox is longing for U.K. beau Johnny McDaid during lockdown — and sources tell GLOBE she’s begging him to make her a bride when they finally reunite!
“This has been a lesson learned, and Courteney is kicking herself for not marrying Johnny sooner,” an insider dishes.
“They’d be together now if she had.”
The former Friends star, 55, began dating the 43-year-old Snow Patrol singer in 2013, and they announced their engagement the following year.
However, the couple called it quits in 2015 and spent months apart before rekindling their romance.
“Johnny has made it very clear he wanted to make things official for years, but it was Courteney who always dragged her feet.”
In addition, they’ve grappled with a long-distance relationship as the actress is based in
L.A. and Johnny’s home base is in England.
But things got worse when the coronavirus hit just after he made a romantic visit to the U.S.!
“He was supposed to go to Switzerland to write,
and instead he had to go to England first — and then all of a sudden, quarantine,” Courteney wailed to Ellen DeGeneres during a recent video chat.
“I have not seen him for so long. We spend a lot of time on FaceTime, but I just miss his physical touch. This is hard.”
Adds the insider: “The long distance has never been easy for Courteney, but now it’s killing her.
“She wants Johnny to help her set a date this year. She doesn’t want or need a fancy wedding. A civil ceremony will do. She loves him and wants them to spend their lives together.”
