PRINCE ANDREW’S MONEY MELTDOWN
Claims $15M blackmail payoff in Epstein scandal put royal in POOR HOUSE
STILL staggered by his involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein sex scandal, Prince Andrew has heaped new humiliation on Britain’s royal family after being sued for welching on an $8.2 million mortgage and hit with charges he plundered $440,000 from a charity!
Now, the deadbeat Duke of York is begging his big brother, Charles, for a bailout, saying he was bled dry by blackmail payments to the murdered American billionaire, who was believed to have caught Andrew’s sexual shenanigans on explicit videotapes, palace sources tell GLOBE.
But so far Charles is refusing to cough up a dime — saying he’s already paying through the nose to support his renegade son Harry and daughter-inlaw Meghan — and foolhardy Andrew must pay the piper, a royal courtier says!
“It’s hard to believe Andrew is broke, but the Epstein thing dried up a lot of the money he was getting and many potential lucrative business deals,” dishes the courtier. “He’s always been hard-up for cash and his family has always quietly helped him out.
“That’s over now. His mother, Queen Elizabeth, banned him from all public duties. Charles is ashamed of him — and his nephew Prince William feels Andrew’s disgusting ties to Epstein and his harem of teen slaves has all but destroyed the monarchy.”
As GLOBE reported, sources say the 60-year-old duke told his brother Epstein sucked him dry by collecting $15 million in blackmail payments to protect the monarchy’s reputation.
“Andrew swore he did nothing wrong, but was eager to avoid even the whiff of scandal and so he coughed up the cash,” says the courtier.
“We believe his motive was to protect his own reputation and spare his mother any embarrassment. It’s his living nightmare.”
Epstein is believed to have threatened the prince with spy-cam videos taken at his
London, New York, Paris and Virgin Island mansions, which are believed to have recorded powerful, wealthy male guests romping with his harem of teenage girls.
One of Epstein’s sex slaves, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, claims Andrew, then 41, bedded her at the home of Epstein’s mistress Ghislaine Maxwell after a night of clubbing when she was 17 in 2001.
Andrew denies her claims or even knowing her, but her lawyer is asking a New York federal court to force Epstein’s estate to turn over any videos or other materials involving the prince.
Now he’s facing new danger from a probe into his Prince Andrew Charity Trust on charges he paid his private secretary Amanda Thirsk, who was also a trustee, $440,000 from the organization’s donations. Trustees are not allowed to be paid under English charity law, experts say.
Before his shocking, sudden downfall, Andrew was living the good life — mostly on other people’s money, royal insiders say. He collected a $310,000 yearly allowance from the taxpayer-funded Sovereign Grant, an equal amount from his mom, a $25,000 Navy pension and big bucks from numerous business deals and perks.
“His finances are in the toilet,” declares an insider. “He’s been stripped of his Sovereign Grant over Epstein, and he’s now poison to businessmen who used
lend his name to their projects.”
So it’s no surprise Andrew, now limited to his meager Navy pension, reneged on the mortgage payment on the Swiss chalet Helora he co-owns in Verbier with ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, say insiders.
He’s so desperate he’s put the $22 million mansion on the block, but insiders say the lender is considering evicting the prince, who also faces mounting legal bills over his involvement with Epstein.
As GLOBE reported, sources insist he’s been secretly indicted by a U.S. grand jury probing Epstein, who was found dead in his federal jail cell last August. Sources say Andrew is facing extradition to the U.S. — and prison time!
“Andrew’s future is growing increasingly bleak,” adds the insider. “He’s out of options — and his family doesn’t care!”
