$2 million lotto winner picks numbers from Chinese snack
TALK about a lucky break! A North Carolina man won a sweet $2 million in the lotto by playing the numbers he found in a fortune cookie!
The winning digits “were from a Chinese fortune cookie and random numbers I picked for myself,” says Claude Guezodje of Charlotte.
“I just liked those numbers and put them together.”
The lucky guy says he’d been playing the same numbers on Mega Millions for almost five years, but decided to dump them.
The lucky strike came after Claude, a highway construction worker, and his work crew met for prework supplies at a convenience store in Gastonia.
He stepped inside to pick up some soda and the lottery ticket and was one of two players who won $2 million in the April 21 drawing.
“The first thing I’ll do is pay off my car and try to find a small house. Nothing crazy,” Claude reveals.
“And then, of course, I want to help my family.”
