SHE’S A BLOODY MIRACLE!

-

CARRIE. It sounds like a regular name. But the wide-eyed teen, played in the 1976 movie by SISSY SPACEK, was anything but a normal small-town girl — she had extraordinary powers that enabled her, for instance, to flip a car and kill the occupants who were tormenting her! Also starring PIPER LAURIE and AMY IRVING, the gore-filled fright fest follows Carrie — seen here covered in blood from a prom prank — from being awkward and bullied to using mind-control forces to obliterate her adversaries. The flick, based on a 1974 novel by horror-meister Stephen King, was a big hit and spawned a 1999 sequel, a 2002 TV adaptation and a 2013 remake.
