Brain chip is a touching miracle!
IN A major breakthrough, a computer chip planted in a patient’s brain has restored his sense of touch after a spinal cord injury! Researchers at The Ohio State University inserted the chip and placed electrodes on the skin of Ian Burkhart, who was paralyzed in a 2010 diving accident. After connecting to his arm, wires route the movement signals from his brain straight to the muscles.
Burkhart, 28, can now lift a cup and even play video games.
