TV talker needs immediate help
TROUBLED Kelly Clarkson’s sudden meltdown on her TV talk show — and shocking confession she’s plunged into a dark pit with her divorce from hubby Brandon Blackstock — has a mental health expert urging the star to seek help!
On the June 24 episode of her NBC gabfest, the 38-yearold Kelly blurted, “I suffer from depression” after singer Demi Lovato, 27, detailed her struggles with emotional problems.
Clarkson praised the Heart
Attack singer, saying, “Thanks for just being open because I felt like this was just me and, like, knowing that somebody else is going through it makes you not feel alone and so depressed about it.”
The mother of Blackstock’s daughter River Rose, 6, and son Remington Alexander, 4, and stepmom of his kids Savannah, 18, and Seth, 13, filed to divorce her 43-yearold manager in early June after nearly seven years of marriage.
The COVID-19 lockdown reportedly deepened the cracks in the relationship.
The Breakaway singer fessed up life has been “really hard” while isolating at home, doing her talk show, working on a new album and caring for the kids.
“Honestly, I have been on an emotional roller coaster,” she says. “This has been really hard as a working parent, because I’m still doing all the same jobs.
“It’s been exhausting honestly, cooking every meal and cleaning nonstop after toddlers and teenagers!”
Dr. Gilda Carle, author of I’m Worth Loving. Here’s Why, urges the singer “to seek professional help.”
“Kelly really needs to speak to a counselor,” says Carle. “Dealing with depression is hard enough but she’s going through a divorce, while dealing with kids and work.
“Add to that the coronavirus lockdown and it’s a double whammy!”
L.A. clinical psychologist Dr. Judy Rosenberg, CEO of the psychologicalhealingcenter.com, adds, “The loss of a marriage and major support system, particularly for such a creative and sensitive person as Kelly, is a recipe for a repetitive cycle of depression followed by isolation, followed by DEEPER depression.”
