Coddling star lets brood scream & howl during lockdown antics
MOVIE witch Angelina Jolie has turned into the “neighbor from Hell-ywood” by letting her brood of six run wild — and driving the wealthy locals batty!
Though the 45-year-old Maleficent star and her kids — Maddox, 18, Pax, 16, Zahara, 15, Shiloh, 14, and 12-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox — live on a sprawling Los Feliz estate with wide lawns, trees and hedges, their ear-busting racket floods the nearby homes.
“Noise travels, and they’re cranking up the music at night and shouting, laughing and having a great time,” spills an insider.
“But their neighbors aren’t laughing and think it’s rude and inconsiderate.”
The thunderous decibels are even worse with the kids locked up because of the coronavirus quarantine.
“The kids are splashing around the pool and howling with delight,” snitches the insider. “They run, jump, thump and everything in between. You can’t blame them. They’re having fun, and they’re at that exuberant stage and excitable.”
Their howling “is just a bit too rowdy for this sedate neighborhood. Some people have lived in the area for 50-plus years and don’t appreciate the nuisance noise ruining their peace and quiet.”
But Angelina, who admits to having been “a bit of a young punk” and rebel, thinks there’s nothing wrong with their freewheeling.
“She doesn’t believe in stifling their independent streak, and if they want to shout at the
top of their lungs, she’s okay with it,” the source notes. “In fact, she applauds it.
“She’s raising them the way she was raised, in the hope they’ll become brave, courageous people who stand up for what they believe in.”
The Tomb Raider star boasts that her brood “all have a good rebellious streak that is wonderful and curious. I don’t want them to be perfectly behaved little people that just say what’s absolutely appropriate because I say so.
“They have to find themselves.”
While she’s fought over money and custody with their dad, ex-hubby Brad Pitt, the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Oscar winner supports her in how she raises the kids.
“Brad felt cloistered growing up in Springfield, Missouri, and couldn’t wait to get to Hollywood and truly be on his own,” reveals the insider. “He and Angie don’t agree on everything but … the kids can be just as loud at his place as they are at hers.”
Trouble is, for the neighbors, they’re at Angie’s most of the time.
