OUGHY funnyman Seth Rogen shot to success as an unlikely leading man in Knocked Up and Pineapple Express. This summer, the former stand-up comic is starring in Brandon Trost’s directorial debut, An American Pickle. The fish out of water flick, which also stars Sarah Snook and Jorma Taccone, is set to debut on HBO Max this month. Here are ten things you don’t know about the 38-year-old performer.

He was born in Vancouver to a Canadian mother and an American father.

He holds dual citizenship but says, “I definitely associate with being Canadian much more than being American.”

He’s always wanted to make people laugh for a living. “As soon as I realized you could be funny as a job, that was the job I wanted,” he says.

He wrote a rough draft of Superbad at age 13 with his childhood friend and adult collaborator Evan Goldberg.

He dropped out of high school to take a role on Judd Apatow’s oneseason cult classic Freaks and Geeks.

He improvised all of his dialogue in 2005’s The 40-YearOld Virgin.

He and wife Lauren Miller adopted a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel they named Zelda.

In 2018, he voiced a public service announcement about passenger etiquette for the Toronto Transit Commission — but the recording was only used for about a month.

Last year, the notorious pothead took up ceramics and posted pics of his handmade ashtrays

on Instagram.

In March, he got stoned and watched the musical flop Cats — and took to Twitter to document the trippy experience.
