MONSTER ELLEN’S MARRIAGE ON THE ROCKS!
HATED queen of mean Ellen DeGeneres has been dumped by her Hollywood pals — and now, sources say, she’s begging long-suffering wife Portia de Rossi not to walk out on her, too!
Insiders blab the troubled talk titan’s rocky marriage of 13 years is dangling by a thread as behind-the-scenes mayhem swirls around her $500 million dream job following a shocking bullying and sex-harassment scandal.
Also rocky is the future of her money-spinning gabfest. After talk of possible cancellation — and an emotional apology by Ellen to her staff — reports emerged it would continue for an 18th season.
Arrested Development hottie Portia, 47, recently tweeted, “I Stand By Ellen,” and thanked fans for their support. She claimed the negative buzz on social media was due to “bots.”
But a tattletale insists Portia is ready to walk out and wants a trial separation.
“She’s had enough!” spills the insider. “But Ellen’s pleading with her for one last chance.”
The 62-year-old chat superstar has gone from being the toast of Tinseltown — with a star-studded stable of pals like Jennifer Aniston, Justin Timberlake, the Kardashians and Lady Gaga — to just plain toast!
Big-name buddies and other friends have kept their distance after shocking claims of a toxic work culture on her show exploded this summer.
Show and network bigwigs have launched a probe into charges by dozens of current and former staffers that hotshot execs engaged in sexual bad behavior and bullying with lower-level workers — while Ellen shockingly kept her distance and continued to be a tyrannical boss!
One man claims a show exec demanded manual stimulation and oral sex during a 2013 company party and grabbed a production assistant’s penis.
Another bigwig is accused of “creepy touching” and being “handsy with women,” as well as bossing by “intimidation and fear.”
Meanwhile, first-season producer Heda Muskatt insists Ellen encouraged a “culture of fear.”
She says the star “giggled” as an exec publicly lit into a crew member and then commented: “Well, I guess every production needs their dog.”
And comedian Kevin Porter tweeted that Ellen, despite her show’s “Be kind” motto, was “notoriously one of the meanest people alive.”
Meanwhile, TV scribe Ben Simeon writes, “A new staff member was told: ‘Every day she picks someone different to really hate. It’s not your fault, just suck it up for the day and she’ll be mean to someone else the next day.’”
The star host has tried to separate herself from the toxic culture charges, insisting she hasn’t been able to “stay on top of everything.”
And now that may include her marriage, sources say.
“Even before this scandal, they were fighting a lot, and Ellen’s been pushing her luck with the shabby way she treats Portia,” tattles the insider. “Lately, she’s been working all hours, and when Portia does see her, she’s barking orders and treating her like an underappreciated assistant.”
The insider says Portia “wants at least a trial separation” and to move full-time to Santa Barbara while Ellen stays in Los Angeles.
“But Ellen’s digging in and making all kinds of promises to try and get her to stay.”
