HARRY & MEGHAN'S ROYAL BABY DRAMA

-

BRITAIN’S runaway Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, have done the only thing that could make Queen Elizabeth smile — the couple revealed they’re having a second baby — but even that news landed like a lead balloon in royal circles, palace sources say.

After the couple’s Feb. 14 announcement that “Archie is going to be a big brother,” Meghan’s royal in-law issued a stiff and formal reply.

The 94-year-old queen and “the entire family wish them well and are delighted,” according to the official statement.

But behind the scenes, “no one was overjoyed” and the “low-key response was deliberate,” says an influential palace courtier.

“After all the things Harry and his starstruck American wife have done to embarrass the monarchy, why should news that Meghan’s knocked up make any difference?” says the courtier. “Before Meghan came along, Harry was a man who always did his duty and put the queen and country first.

“But since she’s sunk her claws in him, he’s managed to get kicked out of the family and humiliate the monarchy.”

Since setting up shop in a $14 million mansion in Montecito, Calif., Harry and Meghan are desperately trying to become Hollywood power players and have inked a $150 million Netflix deal.

“They’re trying to cement their status by giving an explosive tell-all TV interview next week,” says the courtier. “That appearance is the ultimate betrayal and a sign they’ve turned their backs on his family and are ready to sever all royal ties — just like when Harry’s mother, Diana, bared the truth about her marriage to Prince Charles on British TV.

“Meghan has already been banned from Harry’s homeland, but word in the palace is the prince is next! We expect them both to be stripped of all royal titles along with their children — born and unborn!”
