Sadly, ANUPAM KHER, who plays kindhearted New Amsterdam doc Vijay Kapoor, has left the popular NBC medical series — with the shocking news coming just days after he revealed his reallife wife, 68-year-old actress KIRRON KHER, is battling killer cancer. “Kirron has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a type of blood cancer,” says the actor, 66. “She is currently undergoing treatment and we are sure she will come out of this stronger than before … We are very blessed that she is being looked after by a phenomenal set of doctors.” Kirron, an elected member of Indian parliament, is reportedly undergoing treatment in Mumbai.
