BIG TIPPER DREW MAKES THINGS RIGHT
tip-top when it comes to Hollywood tippers — he’s been dropping whopping
200 percent gratuities!
Sources snitch to GLOBE The Price Is Right host — who earns upwards of $12.5 million a year — feels compelled to spread his wealth, especially during today’s tough times.
“Drew’s always had a reputation for being a big tipper, but during the pandemic he’s taking his approach up a notch and tipping in the range of 200 percent every chance he gets,” spills an insider.
“He’s been lucky to be able to keep working when a lot of Hollywood has been shut down, but Drew has been laser-focused on the working people both in and out of his orbit.
“When he orders takeout food, it’s pretty much a guarantee he’ll tip twice the amount of the check. If food is delivered to his Hollywood home, he’s practically inviting the delivery people in to join him for dinner!”
Back in 2019, the 62-yearold’s generosity made headlines after Drew reportedly left a waiter “speechless” when he dropped a $500 tip on a $200 check at the New York City eatery K Rico Steakhouse.
At the time, the restaurant’s co-owner Tommy Greco gushed: “I can see why contestants hug and kiss him all the time on his show.”
Now wait staff and delivery folks are feasting on Drew’s generosity.
Adds the insider, “The pandemic has brought out the worst in a lot of people in Hollywood, but it’s brought out the best in Drew!”
