GAINING lean muscle is possible with some simple diet and lifestyle changes, claims a dietitian from Down Under.
Aussie Leanne Ward advises consuming adequate protein, doing strengthtraining exercises and getting enough shut-eye.
But the expert from Brisbane says her “golden rule” is to eat from 20 to 30 grams of protein with every main meal — instead of scarfing down one “enormous amount” at the end of the day.
“The body can only absorb and utilize a certain amount of protein at one time,” she explains.
Ward also does not recommend the intermittent fasting fad and insists, “It’s not going to help you out.”
But when it comes to workouts, Ward says, “Make sure you’re doing enough resistance training but not too much — more isn’t always better.”
