Kelly in a tizzy as Voice adds sexy new coach
CATTY Kelly Clarkson is jealously sharpening her claws over The Voice’s sexy new judge Ariana Grande, fearing the pop hottie will steal her limelight and fans, sources spill.
While the TV talent show’s bigwigs say landing the 27-year-old singing sexpot is a major coup, Kelly, 39, is raising a stink and already is jealous over outgoing judge Nick Jonas’ replacement, insiders dish!
“Kelly was not happy and to say she’s threatened is an understatement,” says an insider.
“There’s already so much excitement and planning going on ahead of Ariana’s arrival, and it’s obvious to Kelly the pop princess will be treated like a queen bee.”
In a rambling speech on her chat show, Kelly admitted Ariana’s “definitely my biggest competition next season.
“They said she was signing on, I was like, ‘We’re all going to lose.’”
Then she tried to pull back on her apparent jealousy, adding: “I love her though. I’m excited about it.”
Says the insider: “Everyone knows this positive stuff she’s saying is actually pure baloney.”
Behind the scenes, Kelly’s trying to get the other judges to stand with her, “but they’re rolling their eyes and telling her to get over herself,” says the insider.
“She’s already caused major drama with Blake Shelton, who’s rapidly tired of Kelly’s prima-donna ways.” As GLOBE previously revealed, Texas-born Kelly — who’s juggling her Voice duties with a daytime talk show — has been on a collision course with Shelton, 44, for months.
Insiders say the Ol’ Red crooner called her out for “going Hollywood,” abandoning her country roots and being touchy over harmless jokes.
Now, the insider predicts the arrival of the Bang Bang beauty will trigger “a major clash of personalities, because Ariana sure isn’t the type to take anyone’s BS and will give as good as she gets!
“It’s going to be a nightmare for everyone if Kelly doesn’t loosen up and chill out.”
