Pals blame drinking for couple’s fights
GOLDIE HAWN’S 37-year love-in with Kurt Russell has survived a series of stormy ups and downs, but is now facing a devious threat — booze, according to insiders.
Pals say the couple have enjoyed knocking down drinks to ease quarantine boredom and fear demon rum triggered bickering that could end their romance for good!
“They’ve gotten into this rut where they both throw back booze and then start bickering about the smallest stuff,” blabs an insider. “Before they know it, there’s a full-blown fight going down and one of them stomps off for an early night! The situation they’re in right now is not good.”
Goldie, 75, and Kurt, 70, “have found lockdown intense and claustrophobic at times,” to the point that “she is craving some alone time” from him, adds the snitch, who claims the former Sockit-to-me girl would love to hit Europe when it’s safe to travel. “Kurt can be a real drag when he’s in one of his bad moods, and space has always been a big factor in getting through these rough patches.”
As GLOBE previously revealed, sources contend the couple have been walking a tightrope for months over a painful rift within their extended family.
Private Benjamin siren Goldie was shocked when she learned daughter Kate Hudson, 42, and her brother Oliver, 44, chose to forgive their musician father, Bill Hudson, after years of icing him out in favor of stepdad Kurt. Meanwhile, boozing and bickering at home is fouling her relationship with the Escape from New York action hero, say sources.
“They need to put down the bottle and communicate better, or it could get worse and ultimately spell the end!” predicts the insider.
