Fight to walk after surgery
COUNTRY wildcat Tanya Tucker is down for the count after emergency hip surgery — and pals fear the hard-partying “Texas Tornado” is on her last legs!
“These are dark days,” tattles a pal.
“Tanya suffers from chronic bronchitis, has battled pneumonia and a myriad of other health problems.
“She took a couple of years off to battle depression after her mom died in 2012.
“She’s tried hard to reclaim her career, crisscrossing the country doing shows. But she’s in no shape to do it.”
The 62-year-old spitfire recently revealed on social media: “My hip has been giving me hell” and “had to have surgery right away” after doctors discovered a hip fracture.
She was forced to cancel three concerts, which means she’ll be stuck at home for months, sources say.
“Tanya’s done some crazy things over the years and it’s coming back to haunt her,” spills an insider.
“She can’t travel and she can’t perform while she recovers from surgery.
“Everyone knows she gets depressed when she’s away from the stage, so friends are checking in regularly.
“They’re also urging her to get physical therapy before other bones start fracturing.
“She likes a taste of tequila and she’s being urged to nip that in the bud, too.”
However, Tanya’s rep insists insiders’ fears are wrong and says she’s “in great spirits” and looking forward to getting back on stage for her fans.
But after storming the music world with her number one hit Delta Dawn at 13, Tanya became just as famous for her carousing.
Her romance with Glen Campbell was marked by booze, drugs and punch-ups before they split in 1981, and she entered rehab for cocaine and booze addictions in 1988.

“Tanya’s depression got so bad two years ago she underwent shock treatments,” adds a source. “Now her body is failing. She can’t go on like this much longer.”
