CHRIS CUOMO SEX SCANDAL OUTRAGE!

Calls for CNN anchor’s head after governor brother quits

-

CNN newsman Chris Cuomo could be set to lose his job like his disgraced brother, Andrew, for coaching the politico on how to beat the sex scandal that finally forced him to quit his gig as New York governor, sources say.

A bombshell report by the New York Attorney General Letitia James blasts the 51-year-old Cuomo Prime Time host had given tips to his embattled older bro — and even helped craft him a written PR spin — to fight the horrifying sexual harassment charges by 11 women that crashed his political career on Aug. 10.

Now calls are coming for the embattled anchor to lose his primo job, too.

The Media Research Center published a string of Chris’ embarrassingly “friendly” interviews with his brother during the pandemic and is demanding the CNN star resign.

“He’s a Democratic strategist, not a news anchor,” the watchdog group declares.

The damning attorney general’s report disclosed the TV newshound was given confidential and privileged information and “appeared to draft or edit a proposed statement on the governor’s behalf” — all while Chris was supposedly neutral and working as a network news host! CNN bigwigs even let him return to the air after the bombshell report on his brother was released, leading to harsh criticism.

“CNN is in a bad spot here,” writes political pundit Tom Jones of the Poynter Institute of Media Studies, adding that Chris has a “credibility problem” only a time machine could fix!

Political writer Glenn Greenwald slammed CNN for letting Chris put his brother on the show and giving him a national platform for a potential White House run — even as allegations of sexual abuse piled up!

Chris also used his show to praise Andrew’s battle against COVID in New York while charges were being leveled that the governor had undercut

the number of deaths in nursing homes to look good.

“If CNN, from the start, had just said: ‘Chris Cuomo cannot objectively report on his brother and therefore will abstain and others will do it,’ that would have been fine,” says Greenwald.

“Instead, they cheered as he heaped praise on his brother and touted him as a future president.”

Chris was named as one of six non-New York state employees who inappropriately advised the governor after the first sexual harassment claim was leveled against Andrew, says the report.

“None of them was officially retained in any capacity by the Executive Chamber or any of the individuals involved,” the report states. While allegations against his brother mounted, the liberal cable network gave the $6 million-a-year “journalist” cover by mandating Chris not address the scandal on the air.

The network’s bizarre stance was even questioned by Chris’ colleagues including Jake Tapper, who notes: “I cannot imagine a world in which anybody in journalism thinks that that was appropriate.”
