Royals turn backs on accused rapist as new charges explode in court
DISGRACED Prince Andrew is terrified after his worst nightmare came true — he’s facing legal charges he sexually abused an underage 17-year-old girl pimped out to him by his late pedophile party pal Jeffrey Epstein!
In an explosive lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court on Aug. 9, Virginia Giuffre, who claims to have been Epstein’s sex slave, contends she was abused by the then lionaire predator’s Big Apple mansion, Virgin Islands compound and a London townhouse before she was 18 and still a minor.
“Twenty years ago, Prince Andrew’s wealth, power, position and connections enabled him to abuse a frightened, vulnerable child with no one there to protect
her. It is long past the time for him to be held to account,” her suit charges.
While Andrew has denied doing anything wrong or knowing Epstein’s twisted tastes, Virginia claims the Duke of York knew she was underage and “a sex-trafficking victim being forced to engage in sexual acts with him.”
Now Andrew, 61, is terrified he’ll be forced to give a deposition and spill his guts about Epstein’s abuse of underage girls and detail the involvement of Ghislaine Maxwell, the kinkster’s accused madam who’s in prison awaiting trial for sexually trafficking kids. Andrew fears the suit will finally convince Maxwell to sell him out, insiders dish!
Now palace courtiers claim he’s begging for cash to settle out of court and negotiate a plea deal to erase any potential criminal charges.
“He’s run to his family, but they’ve turned their backs on him,” says a royal insider. “Queen Elizabeth has stripped him of his duties and basically booted him from the public eye. His older brother Charles is pressuring him to restore the monarchy’s reputation by testifying about his dozen years partying with Epstein.”
Legal experts say the prince can’t claim diplomatic immunity in the lawsuit.
While former U.S. Attorney Gen. Bill Barr indicated he wouldn’t extradite Andrew to the States, he’s now replaced by Merrick Garland, who has been mum.
“Andrew knows his time is up, there’s nowhere to hide — and he’s practically wetting his pants,” says the insider.
As GLOBE previously reported, Virginia claims Ghislaine recruited her for Epstein when she was 16 and working at the spa in the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla.
In March 2001 when she was 17, she claims Ghislaine and Epstein took her clubbing with Andrew in London and then forced her to bed the prince at
Maxwell’s townhouse.
Virginia, now 38, also claims she was pimped out to the prince at Epstein’s Virgin Islands hideout and Manhattan mansion.
Andrew denies it all or even knowing her, but she’s released a 2001 photo showing him with his arm around her waist and Ghislaine in the background.
“Now that she’s filed a suit, Andrew will be forced to give a deposition and tell all,” says the insider. “It’s his worst nightmare come true!”
