KELLY USING HYPNOSIS TO ERASE DIVORCE PAIN
Paying baby dad $190G a month
SHATTERED songbird Kelly Clarkson is seeing a hypnotist to try to beat the mental misery caused by her ugly divorce, insiders say.
The 39-year-old TV talk show host, who also works as a judge on The Voice, has been in free fall since splitting with hated ex Brandon Blackstock,
44, spies dish. Now insiders say her funk’s gotten even worse after a court ordered Kelly to fork over nearly $200,000 in spousal and child support every four weeks — which is about 10 percent of her monthly gross income!
“She’s got so many great things happening in her career but she can’t enjoy anything because she’s so consumed by her battle with Brandon,” tattles a spy.
“Even when she’s in a good mood all it takes is a mention of his name to send her spiraling.
“Kelly’s desperate to make a change and recently decided to give alternative methods a try. She’s hoping hypnosis can help her get her emotions under control.”
Insiders say Kelly — who initiated the divorce — is traumatized by Brandon’s money grab and has claimed in court he and his father, Narvel Blackstock, charged her “an unrealistic” $1 million fee for managing her career. Both Blackstocks deny her story. Brandon has now left showbiz to become a full-time rancher.
A top Hollywood hypnotherapist comes to Clarkson’s house for 90-minute sessions, claims a source.
“So far she’s only tried it a few times, but she’s planning to stick with it,” says the source. “It’s not like she can be hypnotized out of her feelings but she’s hoping it will help her let go of some of the pain.”
The mom of daughter River, 7, and son Remy, 5, hit on the idea after psychic Matt Fraser guested on her TV talk show in February last year, insiders say.
“Matt really clicked with her,” says the source. “She had a private reading after the show and was really impressed. He gave her a bunch of ideas on ways she could get more in touch with her inner voice like guided meditations and hypnotherapy.
“Kelly was a little skeptical at first, but she’s pretty much willing to try anything that will help her get over the pain.”
